We are here to assess your challenges and provide the right care, support, coaching or connect you to the right people or places to get you to where you want to be in life.

Meet Our Team

Clinician

April is a licensed professional counselor who has worked in the mental health field since 2002. She spent the last 22 years providing services to children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. She has been working in schools for 8 years after working at the Yale Child Study Center for 7 years.

 

April is bilingual (English/Spanish) and is also an excellent clinical supervisor who is always willing to share her expertise to other clinicians. Her mission is to SERVE and empower others to become the best version of themselves.

Coach Jay (Jason Collins)

Certified Life Coach/ Office Manager/Medical Biller/

Consultant

Coach Jay, a man of many hats, is an extraordinary Medical Insurance Biller/Consultant.  With over 13 years of experience as a billing manager, he manages the billing for private practices across the country. Some have even called him Mr. Kleen, as he is known to clean up unpaid claims, and get providers their well earned payments. Coach Jay can offer à la cart services or completely take over your billing and credentialing needs so all you have to do is just focus on being a practitioner. As a consultant, he will gladly assist you with any insurance questions that may arise.

 

 Coach Jay is a Certified Life Coach that specializes in Happiness, Purpose and Goal Success. He has volunteered as a youth Football and Basketball Coach.  He prides himself in being patient and strongly believes that there are multiple roadmaps to success.  For over 10 years Coach Jay has been a motivator and influencer to youth, adults with developmental disabilities and anyone looking to grow.  He has helped people navigate through marital disagreements, fatherhood flaws, low motivation, and athletic despair.  

 

Coach Jay is also our Office Manager.  As an Office Manager he acts as the glue that holds a strong practice together.  For billing and health insurance questions, please reach out to Coach Jay.Coach 

Jay’s passion is found in growth (professionally, mentally, and spiritually) and he looks forward to assisting you because everyone can use a coach.

 

 

Mia Coco (Therapy Dog)

Mia Coco was born on February 22, 2020.  She is a yorkie poo.  During the quarantine, Mia Coco has been attending doggie school.  Her dream is to become a therapy dog for ASC Clinical Coaching & Connections Services LLC. She has already completed her first puppy class and is on her way there! For now you can meet her during virtual therapy sessions.

Guy Council

Therapeutic Mentor

Guy graduated from Harding Health Magnet School and has worked in the health care industry for more than 17 years, He is a therapeutic support staff member accredited through Advanced Behavioral Health (ABH). He provides mentorship services to young boys who need a role model and guidance in order to make a positive difference in their lives.

 

From identifying the child’s needs and areas of concern to formulating suitable treatment plans and staging interventions, Guy’s doors are open whenever his clients need him for advice. He provides services to interested clients in Fairfield and New Haven counties.

Carmen Palmer

Carmen Palmer is a bilingual (English/Spanish) state of Connecticut certified Special Education teacher with over twenty years of experience in public and private educational settings. Her passion lies in working with children and families to support the design and implementation of challenging and realistic post-secondary goals and experiences for children with IEP or 504 plans.


Ms. Palmer is available for remote consultation concerning vocational planning and placement for any student (7th-12th grade) whether or not that child has/had an IEP or 504 plan in school. She can also be contracted to attend a child's IEP or other educational planning meeting via phone as a Spanish/English interpreter.  

Finally, Ms. Palmer is a skilled professional writer, who holds an MFA in Professional Writing from Western Connecticut State University, and regularly works with students to complete college and program applications through compassionate coaching and instructional editing of written work.
